Well call of duty 2has just sold 1m in the US after 10 months Madden sold 600,000 in its 1st week Whats so good about dead risings figures are it has a rating that restricts its sales somewhat (unlike madden) and capcon predited worldwide sales of 700,000 by march 2007 and i believe they have passed that already following its great sales in europe aswell (it was capcoms first number one selling games for 10 years in the uk) It's pretty high for Xbox 360 standards, probably could become a million seller at this rate if it continues on it's rampant path.

Wow that's much higher than I thought. I always knew those Madden games sell like crazy, and Dead Rising was just underneath it. shock (good point about the MA-rating. That makes it even more remarkable) I didn't expect Dead Rising to do well (not because it's not a great game) but I just didn't see much advertising for it. and I sort of saw it as a cult game more than a mainstream one. And prior to release the forums for Dead Rising were about as empty as the nGage forums. But after the game came out the forums exploded like crazy. Im glad Dead Rising is doing well.

Yeah, so is everybody else and especially Capcom. Let's hope they plan on putting a few once-PS3-exclusive announced titles over on the 360. I belive the game has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date. Very few game sell 1 million, let alone in the peroid of 2 months.

The thing about Dead Rising is it's a new IP like Lost Planet. Games like DMC got old after the 2nd one. Although I do want Resident Evil 4 walkthrough and cheat codes . I guess that falls into the same old game made over again and again you know like EVERY SONY GAME MADE. It's nice to see new games and not the same crap with 1,2,3,4 after the name.

In the latest EGM Rumor Mill section they said Sony is trying to make Capcom's Resident Evil 5 and a possible Dead Rising sequel PS3-exclusives. worried I hope that doesnt happen. Why would a company take a million seller like Dead Rising and make it exclusive to a un-proven console that is way to expensive. I don't know man.....Sony has got some DEEP pockets. Sony’s pockets are not as deep as you might think, and not near as deep as Microsoft’s. I honestly can't see anytthing being exlusive for PS3 at this time. From a buisness standpoint anyway. Sony can't come close to making enought PS3's for the demand. So even if they do sell out it's only about 500,000 worldwide by the end of the year, so even if they do get it together, the most they can probably sell is a few million by next summer. Sony Playstation 3 game release dates, (ps3) Xbox360 and Nintendo's Wii will probably be well ahead in terms of units sold by the end of next summer, so I would think if you are releasing a game between now and then you would want to go with MS or even nintendo for that matter. OR better yet cross platform.

Dead Rising deserves to sell well, for once Capcom made some effort and did not rely on their old franchises. It was bound to happen that people got tired of seeing same old rehashed titles. Im not sure how those deals are made, but I just assumed it's Sony that does the arm-twisting and Capcom just sort of complies. I agree it would make sense (and be more profitable) to Capcom if they made it for both PS3 and Xbox 360. That's a ton of extra profit. I get an image of a very aggressive Sony that will pay lots to earn exclusive rights The Xbox didnt have any Resident Evil games right? I really hope RE5 comes to xbox360 though.

Pretty High. Its a new IP, its Rated R, on a console that its still in its 1st year...its pretty high. 3 games already passed the million mark on the 360, the 1st million seller on the Ps2 was Onimusha walkthrough , wich reached a million a year and some months after the PS2 launched. the game sold so well that I expect Capcom to pump out many more games for the xbox 360.
